From April 16, 2026 to March 28, 2027, the Pixar exhibition can be visited at CaixaForum Zaragoza.

An exhibition that showcases the behind-the-scenes creation of Pixar films.

“Science of Pixar” is an exhibition designed to offer visitors a unique look at what happens behind the screen and to help them discover the process used in creating Pixar films. Visitors will begin their experience with a video that explains how Pixar turns an idea into a film, and then explore the exhibition, visiting in any order the eight sections that outline Pixar’s production process.

Each of the eight areas—modeling, rigging, surfaces, sets and cameras, animation, simulation, lighting, and rendering—includes:

– Digital interactives that offer visitors the opportunity to explore the real-world challenges faced by Pixar’s production team.
– Physical interactives that allow visitors to gain hands-on experiences, helping them better understand what happens in the virtual world created by Pixar.
– Video stories in which Pixar employees share insights into the complex challenges the company has overcome in the development of its films.
– Interviews with Pixar employees highlighting the wide variety of careers involved and broadening visitors’ understanding of what it means to work in a STEAM field.

“Science of Pixar” has been developed by the Museum of Science, Boston in collaboration with Pixar Animation Studios.
Its exhibition design adaptation has been carried out by Mostra Comunicació, while its production adaptation, as well as the touring and installation, have been carried out by Expomon.
