Arctic and Antarctic: new interactive gallery at the Oceanogràfic in Valencia
Expomon has carried out the production and installation of the new interactive gallery at the Oceanogràfic in Valencia, part of the 2026 campaign “Arctic and Antarctic: From Pole to Pole.”
The intervention transforms scientific and educational content into an accessible, participatory exhibition experience. Through various graphic, physical, and interactive elements, visitors can discover the biodiversity of the polar regions, understand the fragility of these ecosystems, and learn about the effects of climate change on the planet and people.
An experience consisting of 13 interactive modules
The tour consists of 13 modules that combine graphic content, interactive elements, and various educational resources within a unified exhibition system.
The structures feature faceted forms inspired by ice and polar wildlife. This design language lends visual unity to the complex and allows the content to be integrated into elements with a distinctive presence along the Oceanogràfic visitor route.
Each module has been produced to facilitate interaction, organize information, and bring complex scientific concepts closer to audiences of different ages.
Production of structures, graphics, and installation
Based on the design developed by Mayo y Más, Expomon has brought the proposal to life by coordinating the various production processes:
- Fabrication of the faceted structures that make up the interactive modules.
- Manufacturing of the various display elements.
- Integration of manipulatives and educational resources.
- Technical coordination of the exhibition system components.
- Transport and installation at the Oceanogràfic de València.
Coordination between manufacturing and installation has enabled the original design to be translated to the exhibition space, maintaining the formal and functional coherence of the entire gallery.
The result is a gallery integrated into the Oceanogràfic visitor route that combines education, design, and interaction to raise awareness about polar biodiversity and the effects of climate change.
