Seafaring Catalonia. Three centuries of Catalan Navy XVIII-XX tells the history and evolution of the maritime world in Catalonia from the eighteenth century to the present, in a space of 1,930 m2, as are ships 5 and 6 of the monumental set of Las Atarazanas.
The exhibition has 7 exhibition areas and 2 screening rooms, which show audiovisuals and more than 140 pieces from the collections of the Maritime Museum, including models, portraits, advertising posters, nautical and astronomical instruments, paintings, ship models, pieces of boats, etc.
The exhibition shows how trade and shipbuilding helped the great transformation and modernization of Catalonia in the nineteenth century and reflects on how the relationship of people with the sea has changed.
Permanent exhibition integrated into the exhibition discourse museographic environment in maritime Catalonia, from the thirteenth century to the twentieth century.
