Communication exists even in microscopic living beings. Animals communicate on different levels and with different complexities and intensities. But having the ability to express thoughts and feelings in front of our peers is unique to the human being.
The exhibition “Once upon a time… speech!” It tells us when our ancestors’ ability to speak appeared and how certain parts of our body had to evolve -such as the brain, the larynx or the ear, among others- to make it possible. Likewise, it teaches what are the essential aspects that characterize human language and how it has evolved, just as we do.
