“Remains and Traces”
The ‘Remains and Traces’ area in Cosmocaixa, dedicated to fossils and fossilization processes, where you can observe not only spectacular animal fossils, but also the traces they left behind, whether it be the footprints of a dinosaur or a bird more than thirty million years ago or the mark left by the wandering of a horseshoe crab almost 150 million years ago.
Here you will also find a section dedicated to the fossils of the plant world and to amber, which is fossilized resin, and you will be able to discover, in addition to numerous unique pieces that allow us to know what plants and insects were like twenty million years ago, a scene unique: the one that houses in its interior the piece of Dominican amber known as ‘Jorge Caridad’.
